Where is Spike?

I am going to join Spike in his underground lair. Or I would if I wasn't so claustrophobic...the sunburn is bad, especially on the backish side of my arms. I went and bought lotion with aloe that helps and I'm actually going to bring it to work to put it on every couple of hours. And yes, I'm bringing gloves. I may be sitting by myself, but the other ladies will have to cover me while I nurse my wounds. Yay for gloves! It will be my first time covering Control 3 by myself, so wish me lots of luck! For it being a Monday, I'm horrified they're leaving me alone. Mondays are extremely busy and it will be even worse with the holiday, not to mention a lot of people won't know it is a holiday, so they'll be calling in. Hopefully people will be getting ready for a BBQ and will get drunk and cause a ruckus AFTER my shift is over.

The great thing is that I get to wear jeans since it is a holiday! And yes, I will be wearing the same two tank tops twice this week. My white one today and my animal print one tomorrow and then repeat on Tuesday and Wednesday. I have corsets and other tops, but we can't wear spaghetti straps and a couple of the corsets I do wear would touch my burn. At this point, I'd wear a tube top if I could get away with it (which wouldn't work too well with my big assets).

Last night I had diaper cream slathered all over me, so I slept with my top half wrapped in a sheet. Luckily the lotion I got absorbs really well and I won't have to worry about that. And it really does help, as long as I don't get an itch and try to scratch it. Ouch! I scared poor Clover into WANTING to sleep in her box, too. Good for me since I don't have to worry about her touching me, but I put flea stuff on her and I don't want it on my blankets.

I finally finished the book I was reading. "Lydia Bennet's Story" By Jane Odiwe. Don't read it. It was nothing like I imagined Lydia, nor how she acted P&P, and it didn't get interesting until page 275 and it's a 351 page book, so don't waste your time. I know they aren't Jane Austen and they'll take liberty with the characters in those kinds of books, but I've literally carried this with me for two weeks trying to finish the dern thing and that is time I'll never get back (or could have used reading a much better book).

Dawn and I hit a good deal today. She needed a copy of Paintshop Pro, so we went to the website and they were having a sale. And I wanted the copy of Corel Office because it was on sale for $10 with any purchase, and I am desperate for reasonable Word and Excel type programs. We spent at least two hours of our time trying to purchase them. It was horrific! Their cart system was down and would not go through. In trying to Google the issue, Dawn found an ad that, if clicked on, would save 10% off PSP. And I found a coupon code to take $20 off it. And for Memorial Day they had free ground shipping. So with Corel Paintshop Pro x3 Ultimate and Corel Office already on sale, we saved $152.99 and spent only $25.99! Instead of the download, we opted for the physical boxed copies to be sent to us. I shall relax when we get them and hope they do not claim a mistake. It seems too good to be true.

Last night it took me over an hour and a half to fall asleep because I was laying on my back. I'm a belly sleeper. Hopefully tonight will not take so long.

  1. I hope your sunburn is feeling better tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the PSP! I'm SOOO excited about it!! I even emailed Steph all our complicated steps. Kinda fun to share it with her since she's just getting into couponing.
