Life has a way of smacking you over the head some times. This year has been one thing after another. Early Monday morning, just after 1am, I was admitted to the ER with tummy issues (nothing to do with my kidney whatsoever). I stayed over night and I have a follow up doctor appointment next week since they're still not sure what is going on with me.
My dad has had 4 back surgeries in the last couple of years. These past few weeks, it seems like it has gotten worse. Yesterday was his birthday and he could hardly enjoy it.
My uncle also passed away. My mom is the youngest of 7. We have lost 2 this year, leaving only 5. I love my family dearly and hate to see them in such pain. We know he is in a better place, but the process of dying is not a pretty one.
I love my family and my only wish is that our Christmas this year is a happy one.

My Christmas weekend was wonderful, though busy. I hope you enjoyed yours, too!! (Although I'm sorry you had to work, I'm glad it was Vicki you were working with!)
