It took me almost 2 1/2 hours, but I finally got my medical bills binder all straightened out for this year. I used one last year after my surgery to keep track of the bills and who got paid and whatnot, and it was amazingly useful. I kept meaning to make one, but after the accident, it fell by the wayside. So now I've got it. I feel accomplished, actually. I even got my receipts in their proper box (yes, I am sure to keep one for every thing).
I stuck all the 2009 receipts in one box (they were in two...one for the first half of the year where I did not keep track of my finances and one for the second half where I did) and taped it shut. Of course I labeled it. It looks like the cigar box I have for this year will only fit the first six months, so I need to keep my eye out for the other one I have laying around for July-December. That basically hints I bought too much and need to cut back on my spending (the amount of receipts I have for Micheal's alone following the accident is shocking).
Now that I'm all squared away on my binder, the next step for me will be to get a list of finances organized like I had before. That was so useful in telling me when what bill was due on what date and what date I paid it. I really want to focus on paying my credit card off by the end of July and focus on getting as much paid off on my hospital bill as I can (hence the title). That way I will only be down to my car and two student loans. I am looking forward to being free of credit card debt. I've already freed myself from using them at all.
Well, time to go spend some time with a friend and my loverly sister.
