Pitter Putter

More puttering around today. Started watching Season 2 of Dexter while I rifled through paperwork and put it where it belonged (receipts in box, medical stuff in binder, old bills in folders, random stuff in Smash book). Also made a birthday present for my sister and started another one...I spent bunches on her birthday gift and I always feel like I can never get her as much as she deserves, so I got a head start on making things. And I wrapped it to keep myself from giving it to her. Because I tend to give them when I get them instead of waiting. I like seeing people happy now. Anyway...I started to finish up the ABC box and applied the scrapbook paper to the top of the lid and when I went to varnish it, realized all my bottles of varnish were old and I need to buy more. At least I discovered that before using it and ruining my project.

The bruise arrived under my belly button today. Healing is going nicely. The crazy itching has started, more from the glue they smeared a half inch around each incision than the incision itself. I look forward to the day when I can attack my tummy with soap and a good scrubbing. Not to mention "YES" is still legible on my belly (they just had to use semi-permanent marker). The ache in my shoulders went away, finally, though my back hurts from the insane amount of time I'm spending in bed. So today I spent most of the day slouched in a chair (but that didn't exactly help either). Things are going along nicely. And when the abdomen isn't sore any more, I may have to write "10 lbs" on each hand to remind me not to pick anything up over that weight.
