Book Eight: Frederica

I very much loved this book. I have found it extremely difficult to find a current writer who writes in the Regency Era, but here she is! Georgette Heyer is a very talented author whose writing flows with the time. She uses different words to express herself instead of getting stuck on one word and using it multiple times.

Frederica is an enthralling story of an older sister trying to marry her sister off. She is not concerned with becoming married herself and actually makes an effort to make people think she is an old maid and older than she is.

With 437 pages, one may think it is long. On the contrary, I never wanted it to end. I reached the last page and wanted more. Heyer has written several books, which I am eager to get my hands on.

I highly recommend her to Jane Austen lovers. This book is part of my Jane Austen-esque kick and Heyer is on my list right below Austen. This is a book I see myself reading again. I definitely do not want to give it away.
