Eat Your Veggies

Tonight I painted the walls of my bedroom. I started at 11pm and finished up at 4:30am. What took the longest was edging/cutting; more specifically, the wall/ceiling line. I ended up getting a small brush (yes, one of my acrylic paint brushes) to help make the line. I still ended up with spots on the ceiling, but hopefully it'll only take a couple coats of my white to hide that. Cutting alone took the longest...about two and a half hours? I did two coats of that.

I used a roller to do the walls. I did one coat, then sat around for thirty minutes to let it dry a bit, then put on another coat. I used up an entire can, but I have another, so tomorrow I find out if it will need another coat (it probably will).

I've added a couple photos so you can see my wonderful paint job. The color is asparagus green (hence my title). It dries darker. I didn't think of taking a photo until after I had put the second coat on, so it looks pretty lime green here, but the lime-yness goes away. (I love lime green, just not for my bedroom.)

With the way my hand and shoulder is feeling, if it is in need of another coat, that will not be taking place tomorrow. My body is locking up from the workout I gave it. Thank goodness for heated blankets!

  1. That looks awesome! I'm so impressed. Are you getting a headboard for your room? (I don't know if I've asked before.)
