Tis the Season

Another Christmas is upon me...It will be almost a year since I was given the go-ahead to move into the little house and I'm still not settled. Yes, I'm in the little house, but my bed is still in the living room.

Last week I attempted to paint the ceiling of the bedroom. Then the roller broke. And landed on my head (good thing I was wearing a beanie). So I have a three by two foot square that isn't painted, and of course it's in need of a second coat. I just haven't the energy to do that. I contemplated not painting the ceiling. If it hadn't of needed it so badly, I think I'd be done with the walls by now, or nearly.

Life gets in the way. Such as it goes. I started painting one day after I got home from work and the gym. Though all I may do is walk on the treadmill, it gives me an energy boost. I plan on hitting the gym after work tomorrow, so dependent upon the other variables of life, I may try and start tomorrow. (Yes, I got a new roller.)

I had a three day weekend and I went Christmas shopping each day. I tell you, I am shopped out. I did not do nearly as much as last Christmas, but it is exhausting all the same. I also put together a table for the girls at work who are going to the Christmas party, so I came up with the centerpiece idea, bought everything, and got it ready so all they need to do is set it up. I'm not going (I'm working), so hopefully they'll get photos of it all set up. I think it'll be nice. It's red/black themed with an Eiffel Tower center piece.

I did some cleaning tonight. More out of necessity than want, but it really made a huge difference. Since I don't have a place for things right now, I had everything in the bags from the store. I put off doing laundry for another week. When I don't have the energy, not everything gets done. Tis the way it is.
