It has been a few days

I was going to make a post the other day, but went to sleep instead. I have been making an effort to get up before work so I am not up through the night myself. So far it has been four days in a row. not bad. I actually get to spend time with my sister on her lunch break and leave the house during the week. The last two nights I went to sleep at four (first night couldn't sleep, last night I had to finish my book) and got up at 11:30. Which is good because I usually get up at 2:30. The two days before that I got up at 10:30.

I've had a migraine for two weeks. This morning was grand because I woke up without one (it had gotten really bad the day before...I couldn't concentrate at all). I got one mid-day, but took something and was okay again.

I started a couple projects. I'm painting a box that looks like a giant baby block. I've got three of them and I've painted them the three colors I'm using in my room (pink, green, and purple). Each one has two colors (one for the box and one for the inset letters and frame). I initially got them because so many people I know were having babies (and still are), that I thought they would make cute gifts. Until I found them useful, of course. I've been getting them at Micheal's with a half off coupon. With the next one I buy, we'll see if I'm ready to paint them for others or if I need more storage.

I also started our towels. I bought plain white big fluffy towels the other day at Costco and you know the stripe that goes across each end? I'm sewing fabric over it, just to personalize it a little big. Mom and I went shopping for a shower curtain today but was not successful. People want too much. I saw an Ed Hardy shower curtain online for $150. For a shower curtain! Ridiculous. I don't even want to pay $20 for one. Mom thought maybe we could make our own, but I'm not the straightest sewer in the world. Maybe I'll try making the curtains first before I try my hand at the shower curtain. Or I'll do the curtain and leave the shower curtain up to mom. We need to install the curved shower bar before we replace it, though.

I bought new seat covers for my car and a new steering wheel cover. Invader Zim. I'm not as a huge fan of him as Dawn and Dad are, but hey, he's a cute little alien-dog and I don't mind. Next on my list is a new rear-view mirror. After I buy the new fan thingy my car needs to keep running...

The last couple weeks I bought new hand towels, bath towels, bath mats, and rugs for the bathroom. We need new stuffers in there. Maybe it will encourage us to do something more, like rip out the existing sink area or at least paint. It needs paint, at least. And new handles on the fixtures. No one really can agree on a theme, so we're kinda going with the flow.

Dad finally installed wireless (whoo!). Good timing cause the little plastic thing on my landline just broke. I be happy. OOh, and there's a new episode of NCIS online that I need to watch still, too.

I'm going to bed now.
