Le Sigh

I haven't posted in a week. Why? I haven't really done anything note worthy, I guess. I did get together last week with my mom and sister and clean out the kitchen in the little house and the one in the big house. We did really well. So much room in the big kitchen now. I haven't put my stuff away in the little kitchen yet. And the stuff is still in boxes around our house because I haven't made the trip to the thrift store yet.

I spent pretty much all weekend laying in bed, doing the computer, and sleeping. I slept so much it's crazy. Saturday night I attended my cousin's sweet sixteen. Yesterday I stayed home and did a lot of sleeping. Today I had lunch with my sister and her co-worker's, napped, and then when she got off work, my sister and I did a run to Joann's to pick up some elephant fabric. Then we went home. And did nothing. Whoo!

Okay, I did start laundry yesterday and finish most of it today (towels in the dryer), so I did do something. And I have to brag...last week at Target I found a grey bed skirt...when I wanted one and actively looked for one, I couldn't find a grey one, nor could I find one for less than $30. Without looking, I find one for under $6 on clearance in the color I want. Isn't it purdy?

I put it on my bed tonight (easier than I thought), changed my sheets, and made my bed. I'm very happy with it.

I took the last two days off from doing my sit ups. The day before, it was too cold and I couldn't sit in the living room and do them (I had to ask my mom for two more blankets and even with the heater on full blast, it hardly warmed up). My excuse last night was I didn't care (it had warmed up). So I started doing them again tonight.

I am doing well with keeping myself on track for losing weight. I lost two pounds this past week. Hopefully I can keep it up. I'm trying hard. I had one soda last Thursday, the only soda I had for two weeks (I drank it for the caffeine because of a migraine...it worked). Then I had two Pumpkin Spice Lattes from 7-11 this weekend because I discovered they still have it (they usually run out end of January). I am going to be good and not get any more and stick with water, or even green tea.

My sister and I wrote some goals out for trying to spend less. We wrote out our debts and came up with a reward for paying each thing off. We haven't finished our complete list of debts, but we both have a couple things down that is a good start. Then we made a list of things not to buy, i.e. for 6 months I'm not to buy any more fabric or yarn so I can use up what I have. We are also to stay away from Micheal's for three months because we spend waaaay too much money there. Mainly little things that will add up.

After I came out to get ready for bed, my mom and sister wrote up a list of some things we can do instead, such as movie or scrapbook night. As my sister said, we need to have weekly reviews to keep us on track. We do well for a week or two, then fall off the wagon. It will be hard, but I think with all of us making the effort to keep each other on track, we'll have a better success rate.
