Busy Busy...

I was not going to do anything today, but then I mustered up some strength. We had several weather warnings go through work today...about snow in low elevations and possibly between 1000 ft and sea level, plus strong winds and rain. Last week I wasn't able to bring the stuff to the thrift store because of rain, so I figured maybe I should get hopping.

I managed to get the lawn mowed and the mower wiped down. I mowed the lawn since Saturday is supposed to have rain and to wait another week the would make the grass impossibly long again. I folded my towels, put them away, and have one last load in the dryer (that I also started today). Then I actually made myself dinner: yummy eggs and toast with blackberry jam. Then I loaded up the car and brought everything to the thrift store. It will never cease to amaze me how much bigger rooms look after getting rid of the boxes, even if they're in one pile shoved in a corner.

Then I did my nightly shower and Gibbs ritual. Gibbs got his histamine blocker pills, I put new band-aids on his leg and wrapped it (a spot he won't stop chewing long enough for it to heal), and put drops in his ears. Then I gave him a treat. And I gave one to Clover, too, to get her in her box and away from my clean pillow cases (she kept trying to dig deeper under the blankets...I swear, I could hear her thinking, "You can't SEE me!" so I'd give up and let her sleep in my bed).

I did my 20 sit ups, too. I've decided to not add any more until my back quits hurting when I do them. I considered adding five each week, but it's that pain that makes it hard to breathe and I'd rather breath, thanks. I've got a quilt I've been commissioned to do and I'd like to finish it by the end of the month, so tomorrow I'll probably get started on that (it's just hard to get the umpfh going when it's cold and by the time the place warms up, I'm into something else or too blah to want to start).

And as I am falling asleep, I shall end this here and go snuggle with my pillow.
