Yes, I spent more money today. I went to OSH and bought 'S' rings for the dog collars (one of my dogs had her tags fall off) and a hook to hang above the mirror on my door to hide it with my robes (didn't work, it was too big...I knew I should have gotten the oversized tea hooks). Then I went to Sears and bought one of those old fashioned lawn mowers. You know, the ones that run on energy, not gas or electricity? Then I mowed our lawn. It took an hour and there were some places where the grass was too high (gas powered one broke down) so it has kind of a hump, but it looks so much better. We do need to fix our weed whacker, though, since I couldn't get close to the fence. I enjoyed spending the time outside and I got some good exercise. Maybe it'll help build up my biceps. :P
Next time the lawn gets done I need to take longer breaks, or take turns with my mom and sis. I did do way too much, but I wanted to surprise mom. I would do it again. Aside from that, I didn't get anything else done. I did go to Costco for milk and bread so I could eat breakfast and make a bagged lunch for my first week on days tomorrow. I am looking forward to doing something different. I've definitely enjoyed my six days off and I accomplished more than I'd hoped to. More than I normally would have normally done.
There is still a lot I need to do, so I need to budget my time wisely. I need to reorganize my clothes, go through my books again, go through a box of stationary and keep only what I need...small things that will make a big difference for me. I will make a list before I go to bed so it isn't all bouncing around in my head. I was sincerely hoping I could be asleep by ten, but after today's physical exertion, it's looking like 9. I've been struggling to stay awake since 6, so now I can only hope that I'll fall asleep and stay asleep.
I'm going to go power down so the distracting internet doesn't keep me up.

I am looking forward to going through that box of stationery with you!
ReplyDeleteAnd if the only thing you did all day was mow the lawn run on your own body--that's a BIGGIE!
Hear! Hear! And you DID surprise me! Dang, girl, you never cease to amaze me.
