Do I Look Like I Enjoy Punishment?

R.I.P. My baby spider plants. Yes, I left them in a spot where the sun hit the hardest and longest. The little ones in the rabbit planter are decimated. Burned to a crisp. No chance in hell in saving their little lives. This weekend is supposed to be cooler. If I can find more, I'll replace them. If no, I'll have to wait for more striped babies to spring up.

And I'm quite upset with my boss, though I will not tell her. After I learned how to do worksheets (you don't even have to know what they are for this point), I emptied out my reprocessing folder and the folders of four other coworkers (yes, I exceed my own expectations some times). Since then, I've made sure incoming worksheets got reprocessed fairly quickly, keeping all five of our folders empty. Today, my boss sent out an email stating that since N did not have time to do her worksheets anymore, thanks to my hard work, she's doling out N's worksheets to the rest of us. ARGH!

And who else will do them but me? I'm the one keeping the folders emptied. What irritated me is she stuck them only in the folders that I had emptied (ironically, not mine since it had worksheets in it that gathered during my sick time), yet she sent the email out to every one. My trainer thinks N complained, which is really stupid. Because all she had to do was come up to me and ask me to give her a hand. Or my boss could have come up to me and let me know N needed a hand. Instead, I feel as if I am being punished for being a hard worker.

Not that I would ever tell this to my boss. Or N. I already collected all of N's worksheets out of all our folders and seperated them by number (easier to do in chunks), clipped them together, and put them back for me to grab a stack. I am determined to get them finished. I think what upsets me the most is while organizing them by number, I found out N hasn't touched them since LAST FEBRUARY. It would be one thing if it was February of 2009. It is a bigger issue that she has not touched them since February of 2008. One of the girl's whose worksheets I did before said she thinks it was N's idea all along: to put her work on someone else. When it comes to certain parts of the job, most of the people on the other shifts are so lazy that it burns me up because I work hard from the start of my shift to the end of it. I have days I slack off due to not feeling well, short attention span, gossping, whatever. But even on those days I get a ton of stuff done!

I got bit by a spider yesterday. I'm hoping it wasn't the black one I found crawling on my arm. *shudders* Cause it was freaky looking. I'm assuming if it was poisonous my arm would do more than just itch. And it would look a lot worse than a scratched bite.

Today I was lazy. I stayed up late, slept in until it was time to get up for work, then came home and surfed while staying up way too late. Work was good, though. I was glad to be back. I was productive and will be again tomorrow. In fact, I feel like I have to make up for all the time I was sick. Which is silly because I know I have more than made up for it. (Oooh, and I filled out my time card correctly! Which is hard to do cause it is more complicated than it should be.)

My handcuff rearview mirror finally came today. Whoo! It's awesome. some people think the mirror is kind of small. We will see how it works out. I can always take it out. And who knows, maybe I can add a couple mirrors inside the cuff portion. We will see. Oh, and I got my antenne topper, which is black with the number 17 in yellow and Matt Kenseth on the alternate side. I'm not a racing fan, but it's not often I find something with my favorite number on it. Besides, I saw his trailer and muscle at a rest stop on the way home from Redding one time.

I forgot to bring the name tags to work. That sucked. But at least she didn't come asking me for them. Cause her English is minimal and my Spanish is...nonexistant to say the least. Mother's day is coming up. I've got an idea of what I want to do. But I'm goning to wait until it cools down to start anything cause my room gets too stuffy to sit there with the door shut. Booya.

Okay. Sleep now.
Cheers.

  1. I noticed your spiderplants!! :( (Too late, though, they were dead by the time I came across them.)

People who don't pull their own weight at work frustrate me the most, because it's like "Why are you here?"

I hope your spiderbite is okay!

Speaking of #17...The Sharks have one now! It's Torey Mitchell. He's been out the ENTIRE season with a broken leg, poor guy, during training at the beginning of the year. His NHL debut was yesterday's Playoff game!

You have Mother's day ideas!!! Do share. I don't know what I'm going to do.
