Slow Poke-in' Its

Today was a successful day, I think. Nothing went really fast. I did everything fairly slow. Even got a break from sitting center at work today since one of the girls flexed and was there already.

I stayed in bed until 2:30, got ready for work, then went to work. I finished reprocessing all of my co-worker's worksheets and made sure all the folders I emptied before were empty again. Tomorrow I will steal some out of a co-worker's folder. She said she had it under control, but I am fairly certain she's doing that thing where she holds them a month like my supervisor said to do. Her folder is exceptionally fat. And I won't feel like I have fully accomplished the job until everyone's folders are emptied out. You know me. Overachiever. And I shalt prove it.

When I got home from work, everyone was in bed. So instead of holing up in my room and doing nothing, I actually did stuff outside of my room. I am trying to do something to clean the house every day, whether it is to keep it clean or to clean something new to keep it easier to keep clean. So I came home and scrubbed the inside of the fridge. Took everything out, washed the shelves and the drawers, and scrubbed off all the spilled tea. I stuck a towel in the back, too, to see if it will keep the spilled tea from running down to the other shelves. We'll see if Mom leaves it there or if it is more of a nuisance. And when I was done with that I cleaned the tray on the top of the microwave. Then I was done.

Last night I varnished my Sharks Alphabet Block Box (say that three times fast). So this morning I screwed the hinges back on. Now I just need to glue felt to the bottom and it will be done. But I'm out of Aleene's craft glue. All I have is fabric stuff. So Dawn, can I borrow yours?

And I want to get those cardboard thingies from the comic shop around the corner. Mom and I agreed I need at least 200 to start with. I got the urge to mess with my fabric tonight, but did nothing because I did not want to create a mess I could not clean up. I will probably get the urge tomorrow night as well, but since it is already after 4am, I will not get up in time to go purchase some. Fabric is a big part of my room. I honestly think the future cleanliness of my room hinges on getting my fabric organized. By doing so, I know I will get rid of the random piles of fabric around my room, making way for my other things.

And I want another alphabet box to paint, too. Watch out. Those things my overflow...I lurve them so much. I told Dad if he goes with Dawn to Micheal's and he can't find anything, they have another one. I would have to buy more turquoise blue paint, though, and would probably have to wait to do the reverse Sharks one when they get the exact brand and color back in stock. They are just so handy. I can move them around, stack them, and they're the perfect size each for a different collection of stuff.

The Subway off Natividad got robbed again tonight. It happens so often it's rediculous. They need to move locations and put in a copper satellite office. Then no one would want to rob the place.

I'm getting sleepy. Before it passes, I'm gonna try to sleep.
Cheerio!

  1. You're more than welcome to my craft glue. I think it's in the living room with my stuff to resin? If not, I'll look for it tomorrow. Cleaning my room is my goal.

The fridge looks great, by the way! I know what a tough job it is to clean that.

I love your alphabet boxes! Remember them for my future kids!! It would be neat to put toys and books in them. Esp. since I'm already saving books for my future kids! (Well, crossing fingers for a girl so far for the couple of books I do have. I'm not sure if they'd interest a boy.)

    What's a copper satellite office?
