Book 31: Freddy to the Rescue

"Freddy to the Rescue" by Dietlof Reiche was probably my favorite book out of the series. Freddy hears cries for help, only to discover field hamsters are losing their home to people. I love that Freddy bands together with his friends to save his rural cousins. This book held my attention the longest. It was suspenseful and though you knew they would be okay in the end (it is a kids book after all), you didn't know how it was going to be done.

I also liked how the guinea pigs, Caruso and Enrico, get involved. They are quite the characters! And having the hamster city revolved around the offering vase was a very good story line as well.
