"Wings" by Aprilynne Pike" is an amazing book. A teenager has this bump start growing on her back that turns out to be a ginormous flower. It is only then that she is let in on the secret that she is a fairy, her human parents non-the-wiser as well. This book chronicles her journey as she struggles to accept the fact that she is different from those around her. She also grapples with trying to fit in with two different worlds. This book was a little slow to start event-wise, but I was hooked from the first couple pages. I recommend this book to anyone willing to give it a chance.
