In "Freddy in Peril" by Deitlof Reiche, a mysterious man has learned of Freddy's talent for writing and superior knowledge. He attempts to hamster-nap Freddy in order to dissect his brain to see how everything is connected. I love how all the animals from the first book come together to save the life of one little hamster.
A new cast of friends, including sewer rats, are introduced. I really like the way the animals interact with each other. They don't all get along just because they are animals or just because they are rodents. I love how there are random words bolded and in funny font. The book is very engaging and I did not want to put it down until I finished.
