Everything has cleared and I still have money left over, like I thought. Because I want to pay my truck off in one fell swoop (hopefully, to quickly get the pink slip before my car insurance is due February 6th), I put another $100 toward it, so next check $350 should pay my truck off (sounds so much better than the panic inducing $450). I am getting very excited. It's so close!
I did have a choice of what to do with that money, but I decided to do the responsible, adult thing and put it toward my truck. At the end of January my family is going to meet a few of the Sharks players and I have bobble heads I am trying to get signed. It's $40 for an extra signature and TWO players I need will be there. But instead of looking at the signatures with disgust if I don't get my truck paid off, I will look at them wistfully. I am okay with that. I may actually have money next check to afford the signatures, if they will allow me to pay for it that much closer to the signing. Hopefully I will be rewarded for my decision.
I did spend money last Saturday that I told myself I wasn't going to, but it wasn't too bad. It was only about $50. And it's the only shopping I've done in the last week. Last check I pulled money out to buy dinner at work. It's going on week two and I haven't done that. Whoo! I'm trying to stretch it and I've been being good and bringing food from home. Noodles, hamburger helper, sandwich, au gratin potatoes (yes I'm weird), even home made tacos (thanks to my Mom's awesome cooking). Tomorrow I will probably make spaghetti noodles again because I love them that much (I actually keep a container of Parmesan cheese at work for such occasions).
When I got sick this weekend, we chalked it up to food poisoning (after Google-ing symptoms of it vs the flu). When I got to work Tuesday, one of my co-workers said there is an air-borne virus going around that acts like food poisoning. That made me feel so much better. I couldn't come up with anything that I ate that no one else did and I only ate out twice.
My grandparents came down on Saturday. Yes, the two free days I had this week that could have been spent with them was spent in bed, away from them so they did not catch it (in case it was the flu). My grandfather's sister's husband, who he considers a brother, was in the hospital and passed away this afternoon (okay, of the 13th, not 14th). I am not sure how much longer they will stay. I am hoping they stay at least until the 16th because my grandfather's birthday is then and I'd like to spend it with him, which is a rarity. And because my vacation this year will be spent with my grandmother on hers.
Last night I had a dream that was too disturbing not to share. I dreamed a bear sat on me and I even said in my dream "I had a bear's balls on my face!". How gross is that? What's worst is it was one of those semi-realistic ones, so I wasn't too scared, but I could feel everything. *shudders* Any weird dreams you wanna share?

First off, getting your truck paid off is A-W-E-S-O-M-E ! I'm so proud of you, kiddo! Second, the dream, very disturbing, yes, but the funniest thing I've heard in a long while! Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteI hope next time the bear's balls are on your face.
ReplyDeleteGee, thanks! If it's anything like having Gibbs sneeze all over my face, I'm good for a while. (Shoulda seen my glasses, ewww!)
