Okay, so it's not true. At least for me. It's just a book title. And what an awesome book it was! This book is awesome in it revolves around a divorced 33 year old who gave up everything to chase the idea that Cassandra (Jane Austen's sister) did not destroy Jane's letters, but created a secret society to keep them hidden instead. Over 3,000. The ending was not what I expected, but it was more realistic, but I liked that.
How I wish that were true! To have more of her letters to read, especially the missing years, would have been awesome. What was disappointing is the book eluded to them instead of sharing them. Bits and piece were shared, but only bits. I would have liked to have read more of the letters.
It was a quick read. The writing is smooth and the words are elegant. There was a lot of things in here about Jane Austen, so the author is either a fan or did awesome research. Kudos to her for keeping it on the up and up. You don't need to be a Jane Austen fan to enjoy this one.
